Microporous

Microporous paper has a multi-layered coating applied to a resin-coated base. It provides a porous structure of less than 2 nm (nanometers) into which ink deposits. As it applies to the printing industry, ink is absorbed below the surface and locked above paper fibers to prevent ink spreading. It can offer a true photographic feel while maintaining durable image quality. Some microporous papers are water resistant.
