Don't Be a Wimpy Customer
Wimpy was a frequent guest in Popeye cartoon episodes. With a passion for burgers, he never had the funds to pay for his desires. In most business establishments, a customer would not expect a favorable response to the Wimpy offer when the bill arrives: "I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today!" Yet in creative industries, artists routinely hear similar offers.
Someone made a video depicting so-called artist negotiations adapted to other business settings. It's hilarious to see the reactions of waiters, hairdressers and video store clerks. In case you're thinking about it, please don't be a Wimpy customer.
