Call me impulsive, but surrounded by a lively group of civic minded people in a small hotel ballroom, The Pen Rules Reactive Imaging became an member of the Culver City Chamber of Commerce. Perhaps, it's not as impulsive as it sounds. Research two days earlier revealed this to be the "happening" group of its kind in the local area.
A syncopated rhythm of mostly entertaining 20-second personal introductions peppered a 7:45 AM breakfast of bacon, egg, and French Toast. Roundtable discussions, tech talk, announcements, and a business card drawing for prizes followed. Afterwards, guests were encouraged to mingle, exchange cards, and network, holding to the scheduled hour and fifteen minutes.
During the drawing, Reactive Imaging was selected for a 3-minute presentation at next month's 'Good Morning, Culver City!' breakfast. Those attending will see and hear how Reactive Imaging 'transforms ordinary words and pictures into works of art' on August 20, 2008.
Early morning torture is not the only thing on the agenda of this group touting over 825 members. Regularly scheduled networking luncheons, after-hour mixers, and periodic trade shows are strategically interspersed throughout the year to encourage unified support for one another's trades.
