Reactive Imaging took delivery of a 45-inch wide hot laminating and mounting machine. A special low-temperature laminate with embedded UV filters used for inkjet prints prevents evaporation and reduces fading.
Medium size large-format printers are transitioning from 42- to 44-inch width. Manufacturers have yet to begin supplying 45 inch laminating film for full encapsulation. Currently, the closest available roll width is 43 inches. Many papers are not yet available 44 inches wide. Some materials can be ordered at a larger size and cut down but this increases the cost per square foot. If you have an ongoing need for full encapsulation of 44 inch wide prints, we will can discuss the rates to accommodate your request.
